As Principal and Founder of J. Moore Consulting Services, JoAnna Y. Moore has combined her tenure, experience, and successful insurance career into a consulting service offering the legal community and Property & Casualty Insurance carriers valued expertise. Ms Moore previously directed Mercury Insurance Group's company-wide claims functions which included corporate testimony, claims strategic planning and execution, customer service, training, operational standardization and productivity efficiency initiatives.

Ms Moore's career began in 1981 as a Casualty Field Representative and she never looked back on her way to becoming an Executive Chief Claims Officer in 1995. She later became Mercury's first Sr. Vice-President, Claims in 2007 overseeing in excess of 2000 employees in 13 states. In August 2013 she resigned as Chief Claims Officer to become an executive consultant conducting employee coaching and training for Mercury and from there she founded her own firm.

JoAnna has dedicated her career to developing her technical expertise, servicing customers, developing employee talent, and supporting corporate financial goals. Her professional background has allowed her to become a trusted coach and advisor. She has been a strategic corporate witness herself and has consulted with numerous other witnesses on being an effective spokesperson. She eagerly accepts new challenges and received numerous promotions throughout her professional career. She assumed a principal role in corporate expansion efforts and was responsible for the re-engineering of claims operations and a six-state hub consolidation effort in 2013. Her professional career activities have provided her with tremendous insight and perspective into the insurance industry. Ms Moore frequently represented the various Mercury companies as a "Person Most Knowledgeable" (PMK) in numerous litigated cases. Her expertise and prior experience as PMK allows her to provide real-world expert witness consultative services as well as deposition or trial preparation for critical witnesses. Ms Moore also eagerly embraces new opportunities as evidenced by her being the first female spokesperson on Mercury's initial TV advertising campaigns, appearing in numerous television commercials and print media.

For nearly a decade, Ms Moore served on the Advisory Board for the Center for Insurance Studies, which is part of the Mihaylo College of Business & Economics at California State University, Fullerton. In that capacity, she has been a frequent keynote speaker during the University's annual Business Week and guest class lecturer, as well as advising the center on curriculum and course offerings. In 2009 she received special recognition by the Center for her continuing support of insurance education. Ms Moore is also a participating Advisory Board member of the Women's Leadership Institute at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She earned a B.S. Degree from Auburn in 1978 and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). She is also a former member of the Pacific Claims Executive Association and is a current Pinnacle Professional Member of Continental Who’s Who Registry of National Business Leaders.
